At CVTS, every contribution strengthens our community. Your support helps women, children, and families in crisis access vital programs and services — all offered free of charge.
As a registered charity, we are grateful for the generosity of individuals, businesses, organizations, and service clubs whose investments in our work create meaningful, lasting change. Charitable tax receipts are issued in accordance with CRA guidelines.

Donate by Cheque
Making a donation by cheque is simple and secure. Please make your cheque payable to Comox Valley Transition Society and note the amount and any specific fund you’d like to support on the memo line.

Donate by Credit Card
Supporting CVTS with your credit card is quick and convenient. Visit our Online Donation Portal to make a secure gift. You can also set up pre-authorized monthly contributions — and when you give through our portal, fewer fees mean more of your donation goes directly to supporting our programs
Donate Securities
Donating publicly traded securities is a tax-effective way to give. You’ll
receive a charitable tax receipt for the market value of your securities and eliminate capital gains tax on the appreciated amount.

Give Through Life Insurance, RRSPs, or RRIFs
Planned giving is a powerful way to create lasting change in the lives of women, children, and families in crisis. By naming the Comox Valley Transition Society (CVTS) as a beneficiary of a Registered account. You will maintain full use of your registered account during your lifetime, and any balances that remail on your passing would transfer to the Comox Valley Transition Society.
Benefits of Donating a Registered Account.
There are tax implications that need to be considered when donating registered accounts. Please consult your tax consultant or accountant for details.
Giving Through Life Insurance
A gift of life insurance allows you to make a significant future donation leaving a legacy of support for women, children and families in the Comox Valley. There are two options to consider. The difference between the two options is when you receive your charitable donation receipt.
- Donate the ownership of the life insurance policy to CVTS immediately.
- Retain ownership and name CVTS as the beneficiary of this type of legacy gift lets you make a larger impact while preserving your current financial flexibility.

Donate a Car
Turn your vehicle into support for CVTS through Donate a Car Canada.
They accept cars, trucks, RVs, boats, and motorcycles — providing free towing in most areas or the option to drop off. Once your vehicle is sold or recycled, you’ll receive a tax receipt and CVTS will receive the proceeds from your generous gift
