K’ómoks First Nation

The Comox Valley Transition Society is grateful to provide resources to those in need of support on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the K’ómoks First Nation and we acknowledge the stewardship of the land and rich culture of the people of the Pentlatch, E’iksan, Sahtloot, and Sasitla peoples.

We recognize that 2SLGBTQIA+ persons face a high risk of discrimination and abuse due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression. We recognize that transgender and gender-variant individuals face the highest risk of experiencing discrimination and violence among 2SLGBTQI+ communities. We welcome gender two – spirit, non-conforming, non-binary, and trans-women and their dependent children fleeing violence in our programs which have been historically been identified as women only.
