Mission Ridge

Living in the Comox Valley is becoming increasingly unaffordable for many people. The creation of affordable housing helps ensure that more people have the dignity and security that comes with a place to call home. The Mission Ridge building is a mixed affordability building with units available at shelter rates and at 80% of market rent.

2700 Mission Rd. Courtenay

Studio, one, two and three bedroom options are available including 5 accessible one bedroom units on the ground floor.

Units are generally rented at 20% below the local market rent with limited units rented at Shelter Rates.

The goal is to tenant the building with those who would benefit most. Applicates are being accepted for all genders and families. Priority will be given to women, trans-women and non-binary folks, who have experienced gender-based violence. It is expected many but not all residents will transition from other short-term or transitional housing operated by the Comox Valley Transition Society.

In keeping with CVTS’s commitment to the values of reconciliation and in honour of our location on K’ómoks First Nation territory, providing housing opportunities to indigenous individuals is of utmost importance to CVTS. Special attention will be paid to applicants from K’ómoks First Nation members.

To qualify for housing at 2700 Mission Rd, applicants must have income that does not exceed the limits below, as set by BC Housing:

For residential units with less than two (2) bedrooms, a gross household income that does not exceed the median income for couple without children in BC, as determined by BC Housing from time to time. For 2024, this figure is $84,780. For Residential units with two (2) or more bedrooms, a gross household income that does not exceed the median income for families with children n BC, as determined by BC Housing from time to time. For 2024, this figure is $134,140.

This is a nonsmoking building. All units have in suite laundry, and indoor bike parking/storage, one parking spot per unit. Utilities are not included. Pet considered on a case-by-case basis. Additional deposit required for pets.
