Programs and services include shelter and housing, counselling and support, healing and recovery, crisis intervention, advocacy and education, prevention and awareness.

Darry’s Place

Second Stage Housing

Short term housing that supports women, including trans-women, nonbinary individuals and their children.

Amethysts House

Trauma-informed residential supportive recovery and withdrawal management for women including trans-women and non-binary individuals dealing with substance use issues that have negatively impacted their lives.

Temporary Emergency shelter and support for women including trans-women and non-binary individuals seeking safety from violence, abuse and threats.

Men’s Group

Open drop-in for men including trans men working on relationships with partners and others.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

Open drop-in for groups providing support and sharing information about resources.

Group breaks for the Summer after the June 24th group and will resume on Sept 9th.

Peace Program

Provides individual and group counselling
for children aged 3-18 who have witnessed threats, abuse or violence in the home.
Parenting support provided to caregivers.

Girls Group

Self-identified girls and youth women aged 12-21, exploring self image, mental health, self care and healthy relationships. Discussions and creative activities.

RCMP Victim Services

Providing crisis response, emotional support, information and referrals to victims of crime and trauma.

We can assist with navigating the criminal justice system, assisting with victim impact statements, applying for restitution/financial benefits and explaining court proceedings.

We are located in the RCMP detachment.

Women’s Counseling

Individual counselling for women, including trans women, and non-binary individuals 19 years and older who have experienced or are currently experiencing intimate partner violence, family violence, childhood abuse and/or sexual assault.

Services are also available on Denman Island.

Sexual Assault Service

Provides support, information, referrals, crisis services, accompaniment to hospital for forensic and health exams, third party reporting and criminal justice system navigation for survivors of sexual violence.

Affordable Housing

Permanent, 2-bed units, for women, including trans-women, non-binary individuals, and their children.

Rental Subsidy Program

Rental subsidies for families and singles without sufficient income to either maintain or establish housing. Rental supplements are subject to funding, availability and eligibility criteria. Requires a referral from a community services provider.

For community members who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Connection to supports, referrals, showers, and emergency shelter.
