Supportive Housing Worker – Casual

Comox Valley Transition Society is recruiting casual Supportive Housing Workers supporting The Lodge prioritizing applicants that can work all shifts including overnights.

About This Position

  • STATUS: Casual
  • CLASSIFICATION: Supportive Housing Worker
  • WORK AREA: The Lodge
  • SALARY: Grid 11, Starting at $31.56 Hourly. Effective Oct 6/24, due to a temporary wage adjustment came into effect.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Relevant Diploma in human / social service field,
  • One-year recent related experience.
  • Valid Level I First Aid Certificate including CPR.
  • FoodSafe certification
  • Working knowledge of substance abuse issues, crisis intervention, outreach support.
  • Experience and/or training in de-escalation/conflict management
  • Current knowledge of Pandemic protocols and available community resources.
