Under the supervision of the Community Connect Coordinator, the Community Facilitator is responsible for creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. The Community Facilitator provides program participants access to basic needs, including shelter, information, connection to community resources, and other practical and administrative support. Connect aims to empower participants to create goals that support well-being and promote equitable access to health and social programs with the goal of making participants’ experiences of homelessness as brief as possible.

- HOURS: 75 hours bi-weekly, 1.0 (FTE)
- WORKING: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday; 6:00am to 6:30pm (12.5 hour shifts)
- DAYS OFF: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- SALARY: Grid 11, Range $27.54 – $31.61 Hourly. A Temp Wage Adjustment came into effect on Oct 6th. Temp Range is $31.56 to $33.49. Weekend, Evening and Overnight premiums also came in effect.
Education, Training and Experience
- Human Service Worker diploma in a related human/social service field. • One-year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Level I First Aid Certificate including CPR.
- FoodSafe certification
- Must have a full class 5 BC driver’s license
