The Human Resources Manager, is responsible for the implementation, administration and management of the Comox Valley Transition Society’s HR policies and practices.

Functions include:

  • recruitment and selection;
  • labour relations including grievances,
  • investigations and discipline;
  • staff wellness;
  • occupational health and safety;
  • payroll, pension and benefits administration;
  • disability management.

The Human Resources Manager provides HR support and guidance to CVTS Program Managers.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration specializing in Human
    Resources Management
  • 3 to 5 years progressive HR experience in a unionized setting
  • Thorough understanding of labour relations activities and practices
  • CHRP designation an asset
  • Experience in the community social services an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

HOURS: 75 hours bi-weekly; 1.0 (FTE)
Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm
SALARY: $93,600.00 annual
