The Comox Valley International Women’s Day Festival was the brainchild of Tina Filippino, a local singer, choral director and founder of Letz Sing, who had a vision to bring the entire community together to celebrate women. The event continues to grow, featuring a wide array of local artists, musicians, comedians, poets, storytellers and makers, and always includes a delightful meal prepared by the famous Merville Grand Mothers.

Tina, together with the organizational and creative talents of Kera Mchugh, Monika Terfloth and Ann Marie Lisch, creates an event that is engaging, interactive and joyful for all. A true celebration!

Organizing the International Women’s Day Festival is a collective labour of love. Each year we strive to make it a unique, memorable experience for everyone who participates. It fills our hearts to see so many people come out to celebrate the amazing women of the Comox Valley and support CVTS.
